About the Company and Role

Adam & Eve Inc is seeking a dedicated Backend Developer to join their team in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. This full-time permanent position requires working from the office. The role focuses on creating, maintaining, and enhancing server-side applications, APIs, and database systems, aimed at delivering reliable and scalable backend services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side application logic and backend infrastructure.
• Create, integrate, and manage RESTful APIs to support front-end applications and third-party services.
• Manage database systems ensuring high performance and data integrity.
• Produce clean, modular, scalable, and reusable code to improve system efficiency.
• Optimize applications for speed, security, and scalability.
• Address and fix bugs as well as technical challenges through effective troubleshooting.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and IT teams to align development efforts.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging processes to maintain high code quality.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and adhere to industry coding standards.
• Implement and maintain authentication, authorization, and overall application security.
• Support application deployment cycles including monitoring, maintenance, and updates.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong command over at least one backend programming language such as Python, Java, PHP, Node.js, or C#.
• Experience with backend frameworks like Django, Flask, Spring Boot, Laravel, Express.js, or ASP.NET.
• Basic understanding of frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks for integration purposes.
• Appreciation of full-stack development concepts and the ability to work across full application layers.
• Proficient with relational and NoSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Skilled in designing, integrating, testing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Familiarity with deployment processes, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Git, and version control.
• Understanding of server management, setup, hosting, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, firewall, and ports management.
• Exposure to cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of application security practices, including authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a good grasp of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling full-stack development projects.
• Hands-on with server setup, hosting, and production environments.
• Comfortable working with cloud infrastructure, containerization tools like Docker, and automation pipelines.
• Experience monitoring server health, managing network configurations, and maintaining infrastructure.
• Ability to optimize database queries and overall application performance.
• Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with developers and IT/network teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Eligibility and Education

Applicants with a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science, Information Technology, MCA, or related disciplines are preferred. Experienced professionals are encouraged to apply.
