About the Role
World Wide Technology seeks a Backend C++ Developer for a contract position within its Strategic Resourcing practice. This opportunity supports an enterprise client and the candidate will be employed by a partnered firm of WWT, which will provide full details regarding compensation and benefits before hiring. The role is based in Singapore with a hybrid work model involving three days onsite at IOI and two days remote work weekly, initially for 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, develop, and sustain backend components written in C++ that support sales and trading platforms.
- Engage with a wider technology ecosystem including .NET services, Kafka message queues, KDB+ databases, and Python scripts as required.
- Conduct analysis, debugging, and resolution of issues across trading systems employing comprehensive logical and analytical skills.
- Work collaboratively with various functions such as trading desks, business stakeholders, and engineering groups to deliver dependable technological solutions.
- Participate fully throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and ongoing production maintenance.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficient in C++ programming with at least three years of relevant professional experience.
- Excellent analytical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work well in a team setting paired with a strong drive to self-succeed.
Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts and tools.
- Effective communication skills.
