About the Company
International Card Processing Services Ltd (ICPS), part of the HPS Group, offers innovative electronic payment solutions globally. They support financial institutions, processors, and national switches with advanced Switching and Card Management Systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage clearance of incoming and outgoing settlement files for various Card Associations on behalf of clients.
- Assess the net foreign currency position for conversion to reporting currency following established procedures.
- Investigate and resolve rejected transactions within outgoing and incoming files to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform timely reconciliation of General Ledger, Intermediary, and Profit & Loss accounts, validating closing balances.
- Notify the Clearing & Settlement team of corrective actions required for intermediary accounts to guarantee timely processing.
- Identify and escalate prolonged outstanding account items to facilitate appropriate decision-making and prevent overvaluation of General Ledger accounts.
- Engage in End of Month client meetings.
- Process chargebacks, representments, good faith claims, fee collections, and refunds promptly.
- Maintain chargeback logs regularly, conduct fraud monitoring, and communicate alerts to clients when necessary.
- Monitor network bulletins continuously and coordinate with clients and the Enhancement team accordingly.
- Address operational issues, customer complaints, and queries efficiently and within suitable time frames.
- Create process flow documentation to provide operational guidance.
- Participate in projects utilizing Back Office Operations tools linked to the Card Management system or other solutions.
- Undertake additional management-assigned responsibilities aligned with skills and competencies.
Requirements
- Partial ACCA qualification or an equivalent certification.
- Demonstrable 2 to 3 years’ experience in the Banking and Finance industry.
- Understanding of Accounting Principles and Practices is advantageous.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Proactive individual with strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and influencing abilities.
- Capacity to contribute positively through collaboration.
