Back-End Developer

Job Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Back-End Developer to work fully remotely, contributing expertise to our development projects. The role requires familiarity with core backend technologies and communication protocols with an emphasis on Java and related tools.

Required Skills and Experience

• 1 to 3 years of demonstrated experience in backend development.
• Proficiency with Java programming language.
• Experience using Maven for project management and build automation.
• Familiarity with version control using Git.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful services, SOAP web services, and handling XML data.
• Fluency in English for effective communication.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience with Apache Camel integration framework.
• Knowledge of OpenAPI specification for RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Stoplight API design platform.
• Understanding of Remote Procedure Call (RPC) mechanisms.
• Experience working with raw TCP socket interfaces.

Desirable Technical Skills

• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence tools for project tracking and documentation.
• Experience with Node.js backend framework.
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks and libraries such as Vue.js and Nuxt.js.
• Basic proficiency in German language and possibly other languages.
