Azure Senior AI Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Senior AI Engineer specializing in Azure AI to architect, develop, and deploy large-scale AI and machine learning solutions on Microsoft Azure. This position requires deep expertise in Azure AI services, generative AI, machine learning operations, and cloud-native system design, with an emphasis on innovation, scalability, and responsible AI practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI and ML solutions leveraging Azure AI and Azure Machine Learning platforms.
• Create and deploy generative AI applications utilizing Azure OpenAI services, GPT models, and Copilot ecosystems.
• Build, train, and optimize machine learning models suited for production deployment and continuous monitoring.
• Implement robust, scalable data pipelines and AI workflows using Azure data-related services.
• Apply MLOps principles including continuous integration and delivery pipelines, automated model deployment, version control, and monitoring frameworks.
• Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and developer teams to transform business requirements into AI-powered solutions.
• Ensure adherence to security protocols, governance policies, compliance mandates, and promote responsible AI methodologies within deployed AI platforms.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and contribute strategically to AI architecture and roadmap discussions.

Required Expertise

• Proficient with Microsoft Azure AI services and Azure Machine Learning (AML).
• Experience developing solutions using Azure OpenAI Service, generative AI techniques including large language models (GPT, retrieval augmented generation, prompt engineering).
• Strong command over Python programming and familiarity with machine learning and deep learning concepts.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions to automate deployment pipelines and model management.
• Knowledgeable in Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data engineering tasks.
• Experienced in integrating Azure Cognitive Services, vector databases like Azure AI Search, REST APIs, microservices, and database technologies (both SQL and NoSQL).

Desirable Skills

• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, and Microsoft Fabric environments.
• Familiarity with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes (AKS) and containerization tools like Docker.
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Proficiency in big data processing tools like Spark and PySpark.
• Understanding of responsible AI and AI governance practices.

This role is open PAN India with a focus on Hyderabad. Candidates should have 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in AI engineering on Azure platforms.
