Role Overview and Qualifications

This role demands a robust foundation in software development or IT operations alongside specialized expertise in Azure cloud services. Mastery of DevOps practices such as Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), version control systems like Git, and infrastructure automation through tools such as Terraform or ARM templates is essential.

Core Competencies

• Deep knowledge of Azure cloud capabilities including virtual machines, containerization solutions, network configurations, and database management.
• Proven experience in architecting, deploying, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or comparable platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies like Terraform, ARM templates, and Azure Bicep to streamline infrastructure provisioning.
• Advanced skills in version control, especially Git, for efficient code management and collaboration.
• Strong scripting abilities in PowerShell, Bash, or Python to facilitate automation of routine tasks.
• Familiarity with monitoring and telemetry tools including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to optimize system performance and reliability.
• Understanding and application of security best practices such as role-based access control (RBAC), Azure Policy enforcement, and secret management via Azure Key Vault.
• Capability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams spanning development, operations, and security disciplines, fostering a DevOps-oriented culture.
• Experience with container technologies like Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges inherent to DevOps workflows.

Certifications

Possession of recognized certifications, particularly the Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), is strongly preferred, underscoring expertise and commitment to best practices in the DevOps domain.
