Azure Data Engineer

Role Overview

This position is for an experienced Azure Data Engineer based in Chennai, focusing on the delivery and optimization of data projects utilizing Azure cloud technologies.

Primary Responsibilities

• Implementing data projects leveraging the Azure technology stacks.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory for building data pipelines.
• Utilization of Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, and Azure Synapse Analytics as core data components.
• Developing data processing workflows using Python and PySpark for data ingestion, curation, and transformation tasks.
• Working collaboratively within teams, as well as independently, to deliver optimized Azure data solutions.
• Providing expert guidance on Azure Databricks and Data Factory technologies to inform solution design and technical execution.
• Designing, coding, unit testing, and reviewing code to incrementally improve the data platform.
• Ensuring compliance with robust architectural principles and maintaining high data infrastructure standards.
• Constructing and managing data product infrastructure including pipelines, storage systems, and processing engines.
• Maintaining scalability, reliability, and optimum performance of data infrastructures, focusing on resource efficiency and uptime.
• Collaborating with Data Architects and Domain Data Stewards to develop data solutions that meet business goals and align with Data Mesh concepts.
