Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced AWS Project Manager to lead and oversee cloud transformation initiatives, with a focus on AWS migration and modernization projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving project delivery from inception to completion, managing timelines, budgets, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead AWS Cloud Transformation projects, coordinating end-to-end delivery of migration and modernization efforts.
- Develop and oversee detailed project plans, including milestones, RAID logs, resource management, and budget tracking, while ensuring robust governance controls.
- Engage with business sponsors, cloud architects, engineering teams, vendors, and senior leaders to align project goals and deliverables.
- Manage AWS-related technical projects utilizing services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS, and cloud-native application deployments.
- Identify and mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and escalate issues appropriately to facilitate smooth project progression.
- Guide cross-functional teams using Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methods to promote efficient cloud initiative execution and continuous enhancement.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in project management roles.
- At least 3 years specifically managing AWS Cloud Migration or Transformation programs.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong capabilities in stakeholder management and effective communication.
- Certifications like PMP, Prince2, Agile, or AWS are advantageous.

Demonstrated success managing enterprise-level cloud transformation projects within sectors such as Banking, Telecommunications, Financial Services, or Retail.
