AWS DevOps Engineer

Job Overview

HJ Infotech is seeking a skilled AWS DevOps Engineer to design, manage, and optimize secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure within AWS environments. This role involves administering a broad range of AWS services, crafting Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines, implementing infrastructure as code, and managing containerized applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, performance, and scalability.
• Administer and configure AWS services including Amazon EKS, ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, Route 53, and CloudWatch along with networking components.
• Design and implement CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions supporting automated building, testing, deployment, and release management.
• Develop reusable GitHub Action workflows handling secrets, environments, and deployment strategies such as Blue/Green, Canary, and Rolling releases to reduce downtime.
• Use Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code to provision and manage AWS resources, creating reusable modules for compute, network, storage, database, and security layers.
• Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes on Amazon EKS, including workload configuration, service discovery, autoscaling, ingress, and cluster networking.
• Support Node.js application deployments within container environments.
• Implement and enforce cloud security best practices including IAM policies following least-privilege principles, encryption techniques, secrets management, and align infrastructure with compliance frameworks like FedRAMP, GovRAMP, and SOC 2.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, security audits, and infrastructure hardening procedures.
• Automate cloud operational tasks and deployment workflows utilizing scripting languages and tools such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, and AWS CLI.
• Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability systems leveraging CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, and New Relic to maintain system health and respond proactively to incidents.
• Manage AWS cloud operations, facilitate migrations and upgrades, provide production support, and optimize resources for resiliency and performance.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation including technical guides, architectural diagrams, and runbooks to aid in operations and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to enhance cloud architecture, automation practices, deployment processes, and overall DevOps strategies.
