Role Overview
As an Automotive Inspector, you will be entrusted with thoroughly examining vehicles, assessing their condition accurately, and negotiating deals directly with sellers to secure the best cars for Carma in the Sydney area. Your expertise will ensure that every purchase aligns with Carma's quality standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections of customer vehicles on-site, evaluating them from front to rear.
- Maintain clear communication with sellers regarding visit schedules to ensure a seamless and stress-free inspection process.
- Follow a structured inspection methodology to verify the vehicle's condition against reported information, ensuring accuracy in all details.
- Leverage negotiation skills to agree on fair prices that satisfy both Carma and the seller, closing deals immediately.
- Utilize company-provided technology, including an iPad, to document inspection outcomes, compliance paperwork, and photographic evidence thoroughly.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a genuine passion for cars and serve as the automotive expert within your social circles.
- Exhibit exceptional attention to detail, noticing even minor imperfections and peculiar vehicle sounds.
- Adapt communication style effectively to varied customers, whether automotive enthusiasts or casual sellers.
- Demonstrate strong negotiation abilities to establish mutually beneficial agreements.
- Be self-motivated and capable of independent work, often operating solo on the road.
- Follow procedural guidelines diligently while suggesting improvements where applicable.
- Hold a valid NSW driver's license.
- Availability to work on a rotating roster, including every alternate Saturday.
