AutoCAD Draughtsman

About the Role

Agi Glassplant India Private Limited is seeking a Mechanical Draughtsman with solid experience in preparing detailed mechanical drawings and supporting fabrication activities. The position requires competency in generating general arrangement (GA), fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing drawings for various mechanical equipment including reactors, filters, pressure vessels, and tanks.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate detailed GA, fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing drawings for mechanical components and equipment.
• Create drawings for reactors, filters, pressure vessels, tanks, and related mechanical apparatus.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), specify dimensions, tolerances, welding details, and select appropriate materials.
• Update and revise drawings to reflect changes from engineering, production, or client feedback.
• Work collaboratively with design, fabrication, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment.
• Ensure compliance of drawings with applicable engineering standards and technical specifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation and control of drawing revisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant mechanical drafting experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; familiarity with SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of mechanical fabrication processes including welding symbols, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), fits, and tolerances.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Attention to detail paired with hands-on knowledge of practical fabrication.
• Experience in process industry equipment or pressure vessel manufacturing is preferred but not mandatory.
