Role Overview

The Autocad Draftsman will create detailed technical and architectural drawings essential for both residential and commercial construction projects. This role demands preparing and refining architectural and shop drawings, updating plans to reflect design modifications, collaborating effectively with architects, engineers, and project managers, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The candidate will also be responsible for organizing and managing drawing documents, translating conceptual designs into accurate CAD representations, and contributing to design reviews supporting construction and permit acquisitions. This position requires full-time onsite presence in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify detailed architectural and technical drawings for real estate projects.
• Prepare comprehensive shop drawings for contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure drawings adhere to applicable standards and project specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, and project managers.
• Maintain and organize drawing files and documentation systematically.
• Assist in design reviews to facilitate construction and permitting procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proficient in technical drawing techniques suitable for construction and real estate development.
• Experienced in preparing detailed shop and architectural drawings aligned with project needs.
• Strong foundation in architectural principles related to residential and commercial buildings.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with BIM tools such as Revit is a plus.
• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Drafting, or allied fields.
• Previous work experience in the UAE or GCC construction or real estate sectors preferred.
• Able to accurately interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings with keen attention to detail.
• Good communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
• Organizational skills to handle multiple drawing packages and meet deadlines efficiently.
