Job description
Role Overview
We are searching for a skilled CAD Drafter to assist with project execution through creating and managing technical drawings related to tunnel construction projects. The individual will develop and modify AutoCAD drawings based on provided designs, collaborating closely with engineers, architects, and project teams to guarantee accuracy and compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create shop drawings including reinforced concrete (RC) shop drawings, construction layouts, reinforcement plans, excavation schematics, and steelwork details derived from issued designs and guidance.
- Generate and revise 2D AutoCAD drawings to support project documentation and construction activities.
- Work alongside design engineers and architects to confirm the precision and conformity of drawings with design intentions.
- Organize drawing versions, manage revisions, and prepare documents for submission.
- Ensure that all drawings adhere to Singapore’s local standards and authority requirements, such as BCA, LTA, and PUB.
- Communicate effectively with Project Managers, engineers, and subcontractors to aid design coordination and project implementation.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Qualification as a Diploma or Degree holder in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in drafting, ideally gained within Singapore’s construction or engineering consulting sector.
- Strong proficiency using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience or familiarity with additional CAD platforms including Revit or BIM software.
- Solid knowledge of building codes, drafting standards, and professional technical drawing practices.
- Capability to operate independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Willingness to work a 5.5-day schedule: Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
