AutoCAD Designer - ELV & IBMS Systems

Job Overview

We are seeking an AutoCAD Designer experienced between 1 to 3 years in creating detailed drawings for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) and Intelligent Building Management Systems (IBMS). The role involves preparing comprehensive engineering documentation including layouts, schematics, and as-built drawings following project guidelines and relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed AutoCAD 2D drawings specific to ELV and IBMS projects.
• Create system blueprints such as layouts, schematic diagrams, floor plans, equipment placement, and cable routing.
• Draft drawings for various systems like Fire Alarm & Detection, CCTV & Video Surveillance, Access Control, Public Address/Voice Evacuation, BMS/IBMS, Structured Cabling & Data Networking, Intercom, SMATV, and other ELV solutions.
• Develop single-line diagrams, block diagrams, riser and termination drawings, wiring plans, and device layouts.
• Coordinate equipment placement with architectural, electrical, HVAC, and other technical disciplines.
• Design cable tray, conduit, and cable routes within project specifications.
• Prepare shop, installation, coordination, and as-built drawings; revise them per site conditions and consultant feedback.
• Incorporate engineering changes with strict revision control and document management.
• Collaborate closely with project engineers, site teams, consultants, and other design departments.
• Assist in preparing bill of quantities (BOQ), cable/device/panel schedules, and material take-offs.
• Ensure compliance of drawings with project specs and approved standards; participate in technical discussions and drawing approvals.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D drafting tools.
• Sound understanding of ELV system drawings and fundamental engineering principles.
• Adept at interpreting architectural, electrical, HVAC, and MEP drawings.
• Experienced with ELV/IBMS system layouts, cable routing schemes, and equipment interconnections.
• Knowledgeable in drawing elements including layers, blocks, external references (XREF), dimensions, annotations, and compliance with drawing standards.
• Ability to prepare detailed, precise engineering drawings.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Self-motivated with competence to work solo or collaboratively within a project team.
• Meticulous attention to detail with ability to meet strict project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience drafting for Fire Alarm Systems, CCTV, Access Control, PA/PAGA, BMS/IBMS, Structured Cabling, and related ELV applications.
• Familiarity with Honeywell or other prominent ELV/BMS platforms
