Position Overview
The Autism Outreach Support Worker role involves delivering tailored support to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to help them achieve personal outcomes within an Autism Support Service framework. The position reports to an NLN Centre Manager and collaborates with the Health Service Executive. Responsibilities include client management, relationship development, skills assessment, goal setting, and supporting clients' community involvement and capacity building.
Qualifications and Experience
- A third level degree in Education, Social Care, Psychology, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least two years of experience working with people diagnosed with ASD.
- Proven ability to maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders involved in service delivery.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a referred client group by organizing work schedules, documenting progress, and attending meetings.
- Establish trusting and encouraging relationships with clients to promote participation.
- Evaluate current skills, identify person-centered goals, and determine support needs for each client.
- Help clients define their life aspirations, social engagement preferences, and connection to support networks.
Employment Details
This is a permanent role based in Roseville, Western Rd, Cooleens, Clonmel, County Tipperary, working 36 hours per week. The salary commences at €36,455.15 annually with 14 incremental increases up to €61,581.27, contingent on qualifications and experience. The closing date for applications is August 25, 2026.
