Job Overview and Responsibilities
As an Authorization Specialist, you will oversee the complete authorization workflow ensuring smooth interaction with insurance payers. Your duties include submitting medical documentation such as notes, treatment plans, and accurately coded information to insurance providers. You will also be responsible for tracking outstanding authorizations, regularly coordinating follow-ups on case statuses including approvals and denials, and maintaining clear communication throughout the process.
