Job Responsibilities

  • Manage Quality Assurance operations within Kenya, ensuring adherence to standards throughout production.
  • Coordinate fit sessions, pre-production (PP) approvals, and meetings.
  • Perform inline and final inspections during manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor production work-in-progress (WIP) and promptly report issues to Asia and North America leads.
  • Communicate inspection findings for every production order to the head office.
  • Conduct comprehensive packaging inspections, including components, execution, and labeling.
  • Prepare and distribute daily quality inspection reports.
  • Maintain and track work-in-progress status efficiently.
  • Collaborate with licensors/customers and factories to ensure quality compliance, including packing instructions.
  • Conduct factory audits and develop corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Track approvals of colors, bulk fabrics, and trims.
  • Manage samples and special requests in coordination with Product Development and Design teams.
  • Review reports to support resolution of quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance through onboarding procedures and corrective actions.
  • Assist in vendor allocation and sourcing strategy development.
  • Verify and dispatch official purchase orders (POs) to factories and update delivery dates in SAP.
  • Coordinate with sales teams for quantity, delivery, and shipment order bookings encompassing HFC, CPO, and PO matters.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated experience in quality assurance or the textile industry.
  • Ability to combine creativity with technical understanding related to garments and textiles.
  • Current knowledge of best QA/QC practices and industry standards.
  • Comprehensive understanding of garment manufacturing processes, including construction, fabrication, trims, and printing techniques.
  • Strong multitasking skills, detail-oriented approach, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Textile or a related discipline.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe products, and Excel spreadsheets.
