About the Role
Join EY's External Audit team based in Kingston, Jamaica, where you will play a critical role in helping clients meet their financial reporting requirements by conducting independent audits of financial statements. You will engage in detailed audits, provide insights on accounting and reporting issues, and work closely with audit committees to ensure transparency and compliance.

Primary Responsibilities
- Execute audit procedures, focusing on complex and specialized areas within client engagements.
- Contribute to defining engagement goals and audit strategies aligned with professional standards and risk management.
- Develop an understanding of client industries, identifying business trends and key performance metrics while nurturing productive management relationships.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and improve Assurance processes across various clients.
- Oversee audit team progress, adapting plans to meet targets and ensure timely delivery.
- Lead and manage teams of Senior auditors and Associates, ensuring high-quality work is produced on schedule and within budget following EY methodologies.
- Provide constructive performance reviews, ongoing feedback, and professional development coaching for team members.
- Utilize technology to facilitate continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and optimized service delivery.
- Identify potential new business prospects and role model EY’s values to foster a positive work culture.
- Stay updated on economic developments impacting clients and cultivate long-term professional networks internally and externally.

Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA or CPA) with approximately 5 to 6 years of relevant experience.
- Exposure as a senior auditor at a public accounting firm or specialized industry experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency with International accounting and auditing standards such as IFRS or UK GAAP.
