About the Role
Join a leading Top 10 Irish accountancy and business advisory firm experiencing significant growth across all service areas. This firm is known for its supportive and progressive culture, with an accessible Partner group committed to nurturing senior professionals. The Audit Director will play a critical leadership role within the growing Audit department, overseeing substantial client portfolios and contributing to the future direction of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee comprehensive delivery of diverse audit portfolios, from initial planning stages to final Partner approval.
- Review audit documentation and financial reports to ensure compliance with technical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide senior technical and commercial guidance to audit teams and Partners.
- Manage work-in-progress, billing, recoverability, resource allocation, and scheduling within your portfolio.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Advise clients regarding audit strategies, governance, and risk management best practices.
- Lead, mentor, and develop staff levels including Managers, Assistant Managers, Seniors, and Trainees.
- Contribute to the Audit department's strategic planning, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Participate in tenders, proposals, fee negotiations, and actively develop business to expand your client base.
- Collaborate effectively with other service lines, such as Tax and Advisory, to provide integrated client solutions.
Requirements
- Fully qualified ACA or ACCA professional, or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of six years post-qualification experience in professional audit practice.
- Strong technical audit expertise spanning multiple industry sectors.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex client engagements.
- Commercially astute with deep understanding of the economics of professional practice.
- Highly motivated, credible, and driven towards progression into Partnership.
