Associate/Full Professor in Human-Computer Interaction - Human-AI Interaction & Generative Interfaces

About the Role

The Division of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) is seeking faculty candidates at Associate or Full Professor rank specializing in human–AI interaction and generative user interfaces. The appointee will lead advanced graduate design studios and conduct empirical studies focusing on user experience and human-AI collaboration. This role promotes interdisciplinary collaboration within AI and allied fields. Faculty members will have opportunities to engage with industry, government, and research partners to develop AI solutions addressing practical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching and instruction in human–computer interaction and related areas.
• Mentor graduate students and oversee their academic progress.

• Engage with industry and government entities to translate research into practical AI applications.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Information Science, Cognitive Science, Design Engineering, or a related discipline completed by the time of appointment.
• Proven research excellence demonstrated through publications in leading journals and conferences and funded projects relevant to career stage.
• Demonstrated record of successful teaching and student mentoring.
