Position Summary
The Forward STM role is responsible for managing Loan Boarding, De-Boarding, and Correspondence processes. The position involves close collaboration with prior servicers and various business units to ensure the seamless onboarding of loan files into the MSP system, including correcting files post-boarding, coordinating with clients, servicers, and investors to resolve inquiries, and undertaking additional tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily processing of boarding files from multiple clients.
- Support team members to ensure timely completion of loan boarding tasks as directed by management.
- Conduct effective follow-ups with prior servicers and related business units.
- Apply critical thinking and sound judgment rather than only following instructions.
- Proactively inquire to ensure task accuracy and effectiveness.
- Demonstrate confidence in communication and decision-making.
- Engage in ad-hoc projects or tasks as assigned.
- Monitor email communications to ensure timely and appropriate responses.
- Maintain self-motivation and perform well under high pressure.
- Prioritize timely responses to servicers, stakeholders, business units, and loan boarding files.
- Exhibit flexibility for extra working hours based on business needs.
Eligibility and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education spanning fifteen years.
- At least two years of experience in mortgage servicing or origination.
- Familiarity with mortgage documentation including Note, 1003 forms, Appraisal reports, among others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for handling data files.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to conduct persistent and assertive follow-ups.
Work Schedule
This role will require working night shifts and flexibility to accommodate business requirements.
Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
