Job description
About the Role
At Eli Lilly, our work is driven by the urgent need to improve patients' lives. Our global team of over 50,000 employees addresses complex challenges to deliver transformative medicines and bolster healthcare management. We seek individuals passionate about impactful work that truly makes a difference.
HR Solutions (HRS) is launching AI agents to collaborate with HR teams by drafting, retrieving, validating, and augmenting HR tasks. This aims to enhance the quality, speed, and consistency of HR support while retaining essential human oversight.
This newly formed AI Enablement team is responsible for managing the AI transition in partnership with HRS leadership, ensuring the adoption and integration of AI across HR functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and rollout of AI adoption within HRS, including readiness assessments, communication strategies, and sequencing of deployment.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate HR staff about each AI agent's function, how to collaborate with them, detecting unreliable outputs, and when human override is necessary.
- Collaborate closely with HR advisors and specialists to co-design AI agents, clearly defining their drafting, retrieval, decision-making, and task completion roles, alongside human verification requirements.
- Ensure verification processes are practical under real-world operational settings.
- Maintain structured feedback mechanisms from HR teams to continuously inform and improve AI development prioritization.
- Establish quality standards and release criteria for AI agents; approve or withhold deployment based on evidence of performance standards.
- Implement ongoing evaluation systems using real cases across multiple countries and processes, updating standards to account for policy, content, and model changes.
- Define governance for knowledge and process documentation used by both AI agents and HR team members, establishing ownership, permissions, and maintenance protocols.
- Administer a comprehensive register cataloging AI agents in operation, detailing their purpose, permissions, data accessed, owners, limitations, and verification needs.
- Manage AI agent lifecycle from pilot to production, including evidence required for capability expansion or verification relaxation, and retirement of underperforming agents.
- Monitor AI agent performance continuously, identifying drift or degradation and intervening as necessary to maintain effectiveness.
- Ensure all agents meet governance, privacy, and oversight requirements through documented purposes, data usage policies, decision boundaries, and human supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or commensurate professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in HR service delivery, operations, or shared services, with hands-on experience managing case work across multiple countries.
- Proven track record in change management within operational contexts including adopting new workflows and technologies.
- Experience introducing and scaling digital, automation, or AI solutions in live HR operations, encompassing requirements gathering, pilot execution, and expansion.
- Evidence of sustaining quality or governance functions under operational pressures.
Preferred Skills
- Practical understanding of AI and agent capabilities within HR service platforms.
- Experience in global business services or capability center environments.
- Proficiency in an additional European language is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
The projected salary ranges from €32,250 to €82,610 annually, subject to education, experience, skills, and location. Full-time employees may qualify for bonuses based on both company and individual performance. Additionally, comprehensive benefits include pension plans, healthcare, flexible benefits, life and death insurance, vacation, leave options, and wellness programs such as employee assistance, fitness benefits, and social clubs. Compensation and benefits programs may be modified at Eli Lilly’s discretion.
