Position Summary

SGT University invites applications for the role of Associate Professor specializing in Kaumarabhritya, also known as Bala Roga, within the Faculty of Indian Medical System (FIMS). Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree from a recognized institution.
• A postgraduate MD or MS (Ayurveda) in Kaumarabhritya/Bala Roga, recognized by an accredited University or institution.
• Valid registration with the corresponding State Board or relevant statutory authority is mandatory.
• Compliance with NCISM norms specific to this academic post is required.

Professional Experience

• At least five years of teaching within the relevant subject at a recognized Ayurvedic medical college or similar institution.
• Prior experience as an Assistant Professor or Lecturer, conforming to NCISM guidelines for this rank.
• Preferably, candidates should have experience teaching and providing clinical training at both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) levels.
• Added advantages include involvement in postgraduate teaching, research, student mentorship, participation in academic administration, and familiarity with NCISM regulatory compliance.

Preferred Credentials

• Possession of a Ph.D. in a related or concerned field.
• Published research works in peer-reviewed or indexed journals.
• Experience serving as a postgraduate teacher or guide.
• Clinical expertise in Kaumarabhritya/Bala Roga, especially within a teaching hospital environment.
• Experience managing academic or departmental administrative responsibilities.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Delivering lectures and conducting clinical training sessions for UG and PG students.
• Overseeing clinical services in Kaumarabhritya/Bala Roga departments.
• Mentoring postgraduate students in their research projects and dissertations.
• Administering examinations and academic assessments.
• Engaging in research activities, publishing papers, and participating in seminars and conferences.
• Managing departmental academic and administrative functions while ensuring compliance with NCISM norms and university policies.
