About the Role

The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) is seeking a distinguished Associate Professor specializing in Artificial Intelligence to assume a leadership position within its Advanced Technology and AI Center. Key Responsibilities

• Provide academic and administrative leadership for the Computer Science and Engineering Department.
• Lead and manage the ABET accreditation process, ensuring compliance with CAA standards and requirements.
• Support continuous program enhancement through assessment, evaluation of learning outcomes, and data-driven decisions.
• Teach undergraduate courses relevant to the department's curriculum.
• Guide faculty development, mentor team members, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Develop and maintain a nationally or internationally recognized research program.
• Encourage and support external funding acquisition for research efforts.
• Represent the department in school and university committees and engagements.
• Advise and mentor students throughout their academic journey.
• Promote outreach activities, foster industry partnerships, and engage with the community.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence or a related computational discipline from an accredited institution.
• Proven experience in academic leadership roles such as department chair or program coordinator.
• Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with ABET accreditation procedures including assessment and documentation.
• Familiarity with CAA accreditation standards and related reporting protocols.
• Teaching experience at the university level.
• A robust record of scholarly research and publications.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Strong dedication to teaching excellence and student success.
• Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse academic community.
• Track record of interdisciplinary collaboration.
