We are currently seeking a highly experienced Associate Planner to join our Brisbane team in Queensland, specifically a town planning expert with 10-15 years of experience in energy, construction materials, or infrastructure sectors. While prior client-facing consulting experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory if you have managed complex multidisciplinary projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery and approval of planning applications with varying complexities.
- Conduct comprehensive planning research and analysis with a commercial focus to achieve superior outcomes.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams to successfully complete projects across multiple sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal colleagues, and external stakeholders including councils and government agencies.
- Work collaboratively with team leads to promote growth of the team and organisation.
- Perform technical reviews and mentor junior staff members to support their development.
- Participate actively in business development and high-level client relationship management activities.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Town Planning or a related qualification.
- Proven ability to deliver client-focused outcomes consistently.
- Experience preparing planning advice and Development Applications (DAs), with a strong understanding of environmental and land use planning permits.
- Proven skills in coordinating and managing complex multidisciplinary projects.
- Good knowledge of project budgeting and deliverable management while maintaining high standards of client service.
- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Capability to take initiative proactively and drive innovative ideas in the workplace.
