Role Overview

Antler is looking for a dynamic leader to serve as an Associate Partner based in Sydney. This role involves leading investment origination efforts across Sydney and New South Wales, supporting outlier founders early in their journey and managing the Residency program in Sydney. The position entails being part of Antler’s global partnership, contributing to portfolio strategy, making investment decisions on the Investment Committee, and driving successful post-investment outcomes for selected companies.

Responsibilities

• Lead investment sourcing and relationships in Sydney and New South Wales.
• Serve as the primary leader for Sydney’s Residency founders.
• Develop and execute portfolio strategies to achieve significant growth.
• Drive post-investment success by leading selected portfolio companies.
• Participate as a voting member on the Investment Committee.
• Engage actively within Antler’s global partnership and share in fund carry.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience within a Tier 1 VC-backed startup, venture capital firm, or as a founder with VC funding.
• Proven excellence demonstrated through education, sports, or professional career achievements.
• Strong technical and AI expertise, respected in discussions on product, engineering, and technology.
• Active and solid network of Tier 1 founders, investors, and operators throughout Australia.
• Comprehensive understanding of capital raising and deployment processes.
• Ability to foster a culture of ambition, teamwork, enthusiasm, and bias toward action.
• Clear and empathetic communicator, able to convey difficult messages effectively.
• Must be based in Sydney.

• Previous founder experience.
