About the Company and Role
CGIC, part of the Co-operators group, is a prominent Canadian financial services co-operative committed to promoting sustainability and resilience in society. As a member of our Retail Sales team, you'll be pivotal in delivering excellent client experiences through direct interaction in our office location in Fairview, Alberta. This Associate Insurance Advisor II position focuses on both sales and customer service across personal, farm, and commercial insurance products.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth and service excellence in personal lines (auto, home) and specialty lines (farm, commercial) insurance products.
- Advise clients by recommending insurance coverages and policies tailored to their specific needs.
- Proactively prospect for new business and identify opportunities to offer additional products or services benefiting clients.
- Perform frontline risk assessments and select risks according to underwriting policies.
- Conduct property inspections and re-inspections as required.
- Meet individual targets related to client service, sales, quality, and productivity, while supporting overall agency sales objectives.
- Address client inquiries, resolve complaints, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Regularly review client portfolios covering auto, home, farm, and commercial lines to ensure appropriate coverage.

Qualifications and Eligibility
- Entry-level candidates are welcome; those without a General Insurance License will receive full training and study time to obtain licensing within required deadlines.
- Possession of a General Insurance License is mandatory; Life insurance license is considered an asset.
- Must comply with provincial licensing regulations and continuing education requirements to maintain licensure.
- Preferred minimum of 2 years of insurance industry experience, including sales.
- Strong knowledge of auto and property insurance products with solid underwriting expertise.
Additional Information
- Occasional travel is expected as part of the role.
- A valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance are prerequisites.
- Successful applicants will undergo a Criminal Record and Consumer History background screening.
Compensation and Benefits
