Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Associate Drainage Engineer for our rapidly growing operations in Doha, Qatar. This role involves engaging in a variety of engineering design tasks, applying foundational engineering principles acquired through formal education. The candidate should be adaptable, team-oriented, and possess strong communication, analytical, and management skills, ready to tackle challenges reliably and maintain progress even when unexpected obstacles arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute diverse engineering tasks and complete design assignments.
- Develop engineering calculations and design solutions.
- Create designs based on engineering theories under close guidance to meet client requirements.
- Support additional engineering activities as needed.
- Perform any other duties relevant to the position.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Fundamental experience in the design of stormwater drainage systems, both positive and passive.
- Basic proficiency with AutoCAD for design drafting.
- Elementary knowledge of Excel for design calculations and data analysis.
- Preferably some familiarity with StormCAD software.
- Registration with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) or eligibility to obtain such registration.
Desirable Additional Skills
- Understanding of infrastructure project lifecycle management.
- Awareness of flood risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Knowledge of sustainable drainage system concepts and Water Sensitive Urban Design principles.
- Experience working in GCC regional environments.
