Associate Director – Professional Risks

About the Opportunity

Join Aon's expanding global insurance brokerage as an Associate Director within our Professional Risks team based in Auckland. In this senior leadership role, you will oversee a portfolio of key financial lines clients, shaping their risk and insurance frameworks. Your responsibilities include leading insurance renewals, negotiating with insurers, and collaborating across Aon's teams to implement comprehensive solutions covering Directors’ & Officers’ (D&O), Professional Indemnity/Errors & Omissions (PI/E&O), cyber, crime, and broader management liability products.

Key Responsibilities

Lead client account management and act as the primary senior contact, drive new business acquisition and portfolio growth, lead client pitches, and develop go-to-market strategies in coordination with cross-functional teams.

Candidate Profile

We seek candidates with robust technical knowledge in financial lines insurance, proven client leadership experience, and a strong business development record. You will possess exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, able to engage senior stakeholders and C-suite clients effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

Must hold or be willing to obtain the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) – General Insurance or an equivalent professional qualification within set timeframes.
