Role Overview
Join PwC's Digital & Data Transformation practice based in Auckland, New Zealand, as an Associate Director, partnering with senior clients to tackle complex challenges through AI, cloud, and digital solutions. In this leadership role, you will oversee strategic and execution phases of large-scale digital initiatives, collaborating closely with senior firm leaders to foster client trust, lead diverse teams, and facilitate business growth via emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct AI, cloud, and digital transformation projects from strategic planning to implementation.
- Advise senior client executives on technology strategies, enterprise architectures, operational models, business cases, and transformation roadmaps.
- Conduct executive workshops, manage governance forums, and lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve high-impact outcomes.
- Develop and strengthen client relationships, uncover business development opportunities, and contribute to proposal efforts as well as practice enhancement.
- Mentor and develop consulting teams, promoting a collaborative and inclusive work culture.
- Support clients in the responsible adoption of emerging technologies that enhance business, customer, and employee experiences.
Required Experience & Skills
The successful candidate will have between 8 to 12+ years of progressive experience in technology consulting, digital transformation, or managing enterprise tech programs within consulting firms, advisory roles, or large organizations. A tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Engineering, Business, Commerce, or related fields is preferred.
- Experience leading AI (including Generative AI), intelligent automation, and cloud transformation initiatives on platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Expertise in formulating technology strategies, enterprise or solution architecture, target operating models, business case development, and transformation planning.
- History of delivering complex programs involving technology modernization, data analytics, and enterprise architecture.
- Proven track record providing executive technology advisory, due diligence, and transformation consulting.
- Strong business development skills and capability to nurture trusted client partnerships.
- Confident engagement with senior stakeholders including C-suite executives, facilitating workshops and influencing decisions.
- Leadership and mentoring experience with high-performing consulting teams.
- Passion for emerging tech and responsible AI adoption to generate tangible business value.
