Associate Director Accounts

Position Overview

We are in search of a highly capable and goal-oriented professional to spearhead the Accounts and Finance division for our client, Plastics For Change. This pivotal role demands stewardship over financial reporting, budgeting, statutory compliance, audits, fund administration, and internal control mechanisms. The successful candidate will bring proficient leadership, meticulous attention to financial detail, and a strategic approach to safeguard the organization's fiscal integrity and responsibility.

Core Responsibilities

• Supervise comprehensive accounting functions such as general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and closing procedures.
• Ensure prompt and accurate adherence to all statutory regulations including GST, TDS, and Income Tax compliance.
• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, management information system (MIS) reports, and audit documentation.
• Administer external audits including statutory, internal, and tax audits alongside regulatory submissions.
• Monitor the enforcement of Indian and International accounting standards and implement robust internal financial controls.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Analyze and report budget variances, offering strategic financial insights to senior management.
• Facilitate business decision-making through timely and precise financial analysis and reporting.
• Handle donor and grant financial reporting when applicable.
• Optimize fund usage and devise liquidity management plans.
• Oversee working capital by managing receivables and payables efficiently.
• Contribute to investment planning and long-term fiscal sustainability initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and develop the finance and accounts team.
• Drive automation projects to increase finance process and reporting effectiveness.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Operations, and Procurement to harmonize financial strategies.
• Manage system upgrades ensuring documentation accuracy and data integrity.

Qualifications and Experience

• Professional certification such as CA, CMA, MBA in Finance, ICWA, or an equivalent finance qualification.
• Between 10 to 15 years of pertinent experience in accounting and financial management roles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Indian and international financial reporting and accounting standards, including taxation and compliance requirements.
• Exposure to sectors like social enterprise, FMCG, sustainability, or manufacturing is preferred.
• Comfort with financial software such as Tally and Zoho.
