Role Overview

The Associate, AI Research and Learning, will be responsible for researching advances in AI, designing innovative curriculum, and developing high-quality educational programs on AI. This position requires a practical, hands-on individual proficient in AI tools, capable of collaborating with academic experts, and able to translate cutting-edge AI research into effective teaching materials and courses.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor AI advancements and assess their impact on education, learning, and employment.
• Develop course content that meets rigorous academic standards suitable for senior scholars.
• Engage directly with AI technologies to ensure teaching is grounded in first-hand experience rather than secondary sources.
• Experiment with new educational formats and AI-enhanced teaching methods, refining successful approaches into standardized practices.
• Collaborate as an equal partner with faculty and subject matter experts to articulate their knowledge into clear instructional content.
• Transform DEC's research findings into structured education programs and relay learner feedback to enhance ongoing research.
• Uphold high standards for course structure, assessment methods, and learner engagement.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum two years professional experience, preferably in creating educational, technical, or analytical content.
• A solid understanding of AI demonstrated through frequent tool usage, comprehensive knowledge of AI mechanics, and ability to communicate complex concepts to skeptical experts.
• Proven portfolio of published work including courses, papers, essays, workshops, tools, or open-source projects.
• Competence in interpreting technical literature critically and conveying its significance to non-technical audiences.
• Experience collaborating with academic professionals and senior stakeholders with confidence.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple time zones in a globally distributed team.
