Role Overview

The Assistant Store Manager position involves leading and inspiring a team to create memorable customer experiences. This role presents new daily challenges and opportunities within a fast-paced retail environment, providing a rewarding and dynamic workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and enhance store performance by managing sales outcomes, controlling expenses, and overseeing operations such as merchandising, inventory management, front-line service, cash handling, markdowns, scheduling, shipping, and receiving, with a keen focus on reducing shrinkage and damage.
• Recruit, train, develop, and mentor Associates, fostering a positive and empowering atmosphere that benefits both staff and customers.
• Execute company initiatives, projects, and store changes by communicating and implementing action plans; contribute to succession planning to ensure preparedness for future talent needs.
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales, expense control, and customer satisfaction objectives; manage loss prevention programs and optimize store layout and operational flow.

Candidate Profile

• At least two years of leadership experience in retail as an Assistant or Store Manager.
• Proven ability to lead large teams and nurture talent.
• Strong organizational, communication, and mentoring skills enabling effective collaboration and feedback.
• Comprehensive knowledge of store operations, customer service excellence, merchandising, personnel management, health and safety standards, and loss prevention, supported by diligent follow-through to accomplish tasks and initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range between CAD 48,592.50 and 68,029.50, adjusted based on qualifications and experience.
