Role Summary
The Assistant Store Manager will assist in guiding the team and enhancing the Harris Scarfe customer experience by fostering a welcoming store atmosphere and achieving sales, service, and cultural objectives.
- Assist the Store Manager in all operational facets
- Exemplify high standards in customer service, safety protocols, and store presentation
- Provide training, coaching, and support to enhance team skills and confidence
- Manage stock handling, merchandising, and ensure compliance requirements are met
- Contribute to achieving positive departmental outcomes
- Promote a collaborative and inclusive team culture
- Deliver exceptional customer service in every interaction
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will exhibit hands-on leadership, enthusiasm for retail, and a genuine interest in people. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to motivate teams while keeping customer satisfaction front and center are essential.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in retail or hospitality sectors
- Strong people-focused mindset with effective coaching and team-building capabilities
- Clear, calm communicative style and a solution-oriented approach
- Confidence in visual merchandising and maintaining store standards
- Organized with proficient administrative and IT skills
- Availability to work weekends and holding full legal work authorization in Australia
