Assistant Security Officer

Role Overview

The Assistant Security Officer at Era University Hospital plays a crucial role in maintaining a secure atmosphere for patients, healthcare workers, and visitors. The officer actively patrols facilities, oversees surveillance systems, manages controlled access zones, and responds promptly to emergent situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of hospital premises, including buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds, to identify any unauthorized activity, safety concerns, or fire risks.
• Continuously monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras and alarm systems to detect suspicious events or breaches.
• Employ verbal de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts and pacify distressed patients, visitors, or staff, reducing the chances of violence.
• Provide swift and effective response to security incidents, emergency codes (including code white and code black), and assist in crisis situations as needed.
• Conduct visitor screening and verify credentials to regulate entry, especially safeguarding sensitive zones like pharmacies, nurseries, and morgues.
• Keep detailed logs and create comprehensive reports regarding any incidents, accidents, or violations of hospital policies.
• Offer escort services for staff and visitors to their vehicles during nighttime or as required for safety.
• Oversee parking compliance and ensure that pathways for emergency vehicles remain unobstructed.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Possess significant experience as a Senior Level Security Officer, ideally with 10 to 15 years in the security domain.
• Former personnel of the Indian Army are strongly preferred for this role due to relevant discipline and expertise.

Eligibility

Candidates are required to hold a graduation degree to be eligible for this position.
