Position Overview

The Assistant Professor role is a full-time, on-site faculty position based in Jizan. Primary duties include preparing and delivering lectures, leading seminars and practical sessions, designing assessments, grading assignments, and offering academic advising and mentorship. The role also requires conducting independent and collaborative research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, participating in scholarly conferences, and contributing to departmental and university committees. Responsibilities extend to curriculum development, quality assurance, maintaining current knowledge in the field, and supporting outreach or community initiatives consistent with the university’s mission.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited university.
• Proven experience in university-level teaching, including course design, lecture delivery, and student assessment.
• Active involvement in scholarly research demonstrated through publications, conference participation, or ongoing projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills suitable for a multicultural, multidisciplinary academic setting.
• Competence in utilizing modern teaching technologies and learning management systems to enhance instruction and student participation.
• Dedication to ethical behavior, inclusive teaching, and promoting students' academic success and wellbeing.
• Willingness to engage in departmental and institutional service activities such as committee work, curriculum planning, and accreditation processes.
• Prior experience within academic or professional environments in Saudi Arabia or the Gulf region is advantageous though not mandatory.
