Job Overview
This position serves as an Assistant for Pre-K educational programs, providing support in instructing foundational subjects such as reading, writing, and mathematics according to readiness levels. The role requires a combination of educational credentials and the ability to assist with classroom activities utilizing basic computer skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- Hold a Child Development Associate's (CDA) Credential, an Associate's degree, or a Bachelor’s degree.
- If lacking an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, candidates must pass the ParaPro Assessment or have completed 60 college credits in addition to a CDA credential to meet No Child Left Behind requirements.
- Ability to assist with instructing reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness, as appropriate.
- Basic computer literacy including email, Microsoft Excel, and Word proficiency.
- Physical ability to occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.
Position Details
- Work location: Lake Trafford Elementary, Immokalee, FL.
- Work calendar consists of 186 days annually.
- Full-time employment with an EFTE of 1.00.
