Position Overview

This role is dedicated to managing Quality Assurance operations at Legrand's product testing laboratory in Sinnar, focusing on wiring accessories and electrical equipment. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring compliance with product testing standards, documenting all activities, analyzing failures, and implementing ongoing product quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform testing and qualification of switches, sockets, fan regulators, Air Circuit Breakers (ACBs), and capacitors adhering to Indian and international standards.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Indian Standards (IS) and maintain detailed and accurate documentation of testing processes and results.
• Investigate both internal and external product failures, including customer complaints, and drive corrective quality improvement measures.
• Manage scheduling, calibration, and documentation of electrical equipment calibration activities.
• Possess knowledge related to capacitors and low-voltage switchgear products to support testing activities.
• Exemplify performance excellence, maintain strong customer relationships, and champion process excellence initiatives.
• Encourage a productive team environment focused on people excellence and robust interpersonal collaboration.
• Exhibit adaptability by taking initiative and staying current with evolving industry standards and best practices.
• Lead and mentor a team of QA professionals, ensuring efficient work allocation and performance guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align Quality Assurance efforts with organizational goals.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Between 5 to 10 years of professional experience in the wiring accessories, switchgear, or electrical industries.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
• Strong communication and presentation capabilities to clearly articulate technical concepts.
• Familiarity with ISO standards including ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System).
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Competency in operating QA testing instruments and relevant software systems.
• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach towards continuous quality improvement.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Highly attentive to detail and dedicated to maintaining stringent quality standards.
