Overview

The Assistant Manager - Operations will oversee planning, coordination, monitoring, and execution of skill assessment tasks across designated projects. This role involves continuous interaction with assessment centres, assessors, internal departments, and other stakeholders to ensure assessments are conducted efficiently and align with established standards.

Key Duties

  • Plan and organize skill assessment batches ensuring they proceed on schedule.
  • Liaise with training centres, assessors, RSA/PMU, and internal teams for smooth execution of assessment activities.
  • Assign assessors considering location, sector, availability, and schedules.
  • Continuously monitor assessments and resolve operational challenges promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with guidelines, standard operating procedures, and infrastructure criteria.
  • Verify documentation including candidate details, attendance, photos, videos, and other essential evidence.
  • Monitor biometric attendance systems (AEBAS), CCTV adherence, and geo-tagged evidence where applicable.
  • Address candidate verification discrepancies and coordinate clarifications.
  • Ensure timely uploading of results, documentation, and evidence onto relevant portals.
  • Maintain updated MIS, batch statuses, assessor data, and generate assessment reports.
  • Follow up on pending assessments, results, and compliance issues.
  • Report infrastructure gaps, location errors, and non-compliance issues to authorities.
  • Coordinate with billing and accounts teams regarding completed batch data and supporting documents.
  • Prepare daily and weekly operational reports for management review.
  • Supervise Operations Executives and Coordinators to guarantee timely task completion.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in any field.
  • 2 to 5 years’ relevant experience in skill assessment, skill development, training operations, or related functions.
  • Solid understanding of Skill Assessment Agency operations, assessment processes, and MIS.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Google Sheets, email correspondence, and online portal usage.
  • Effective written and verbal communication in English and Hindi.
  • Strong coordination, team leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple batches and stakeholders effectively.
  • Capacity to work under deadlines and handle urgent operational needs.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with prior experience in Skill Assessment Agencies, involvement in Skill India/NSDC projects, government skill development schemes, or handling large-scale assessment operations will be favored.

Compensation

Monthly salary ranging from INR 15,000 to INR 21,000.
