Job Overview
The Assistant Manager for Learning & Development will play a crucial role in supporting the creation, execution, and ongoing enhancement of learning and development initiatives within PaxOcean Group. This position works collaboratively with business leaders to uncover training needs, build learning solutions, augment workforce skills, and nurture a culture centered on continuous development. Additionally, this role contributes to talent development programs, competency framework management, and evaluating training effectiveness to ensure employees possess the necessary skills for current and future demands.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in crafting and deploying learning and development strategies that align with company goals and priorities.
- Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to perform training needs assessments, identifying skills gaps and learning opportunities.
- Coordinate and manage various learning initiatives including workshops, leadership development, and employee growth programs.
- Help develop, maintain, and apply competency frameworks across diverse functions and employee segments.
- Support the administration and delivery of graduate, management trainee, and talent growth schemes aimed at succession planning.
- Curate and recommend internal and external training courses that meet organizational and staff development requirements.
- Track training engagement, learning results, and program impact through feedback, assessments, and analytics.
- Generate training performance reports, dashboards, and insights to underpin evidence-based learning and talent strategies.
- Partner closely with HR and business teams to advocate and embed a continuous learning culture.
- Oversee learning administration such as training records, databases, budgets, and vendor relations as relevant.
Required Qualifications
- At least 4 to 6 years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, Training, or related HR roles.
- Proficiency in conducting training needs analyses and managing employee development initiatives.
- Understanding of competency frameworks, learning management systems (LMS), and adult learning principles.
- Capability to analyze learning data, detect trends, and propose enhancements based on findings.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills; effective in collaborating with employees and leadership at all levels.
- Excellent skills in communication, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal relations.
- Demonstrated organizational and project management abilities to handle multiple projects concurrently.
- A proactive, detail-focused approach coupled with a results-oriented and continuous improvement mindset.
- High standards of professionalism, integrity, and credibility.
- Adeptness at working independently and collaboratively within teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Organizational Development.
