Job description
Role Overview
The Assistant Manager of HR Operations will oversee daily HR operational tasks, maintain employee data, coordinate payroll inputs, support employee taxation matters, handle ERP-related transactions, and manage vendor payments for a large workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Update and maintain accurate employee master records in HRMS/ERP, supporting lifecycle events like joining, transfers, and exits.
- Prepare comprehensive HR reports to aid audits and management needs, ensuring timely documentation.
- Coordinate monthly payroll inputs for 3,500 to 5,000 employees, validating attendance, leaves, salary changes, and other payroll elements with various departments.
- Assist with payroll reconciliation and work with payroll vendors to ensure smooth processing and closure.
- Address employee queries relating to income tax, tax declarations, and payroll, and manage collection and verification of tax investment proofs.
- Perform HR-related payment entries and transactions in the ERP, coordinating with Finance, IT, and ERP teams to resolve data or system issues.
- Manage vendor invoice verification, payment processing coordination with Finance, track pending payments, and maintain vendor payment records and MIS.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong grasp of HR operational processes and employee lifecycle management.
- Experience coordinating payroll inputs for a large employee base.
- Proficient user of HRMS/ERP systems, with solid understanding of payroll and employee taxation.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination abilities.
- High attention to detail ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
- Competent in MS Excel and HR reporting.
- Capability to handle multiple responsibilities while adhering to strict deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree such as MBA, PGDM, or Graduate in HR, Business Administration, or related fields.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in HR Operations, Payroll Operations, HR Shared Services, or related roles.
