Role Overview
We are looking for an Assistant Manager in our Dunedin Audit team with 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in audit and assurance within a Chartered Accounting environment. Candidates should ideally hold a professional qualification such as CA or equivalent. You will engage with a diverse client portfolio including large corporate, private, and public sector entities, gaining exposure to multiple industries and national projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Present audit findings with recommendations and implement solutions.
- Review reports, memos, and other deliverables.
- Apply analytical thinking to solve problems and advise on client business strategies.
- Understand audit and risk advisory matters, addressing complex client issues.
- Build relationships and positively influence clients, colleagues, and teams through effective communication.
- Deliver excellent client service, leveraging collaboration across the business and regions.
Candidate Requirements
- 3 to 4 years of audit experience in a corporate Chartered Accounting setting.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and International/New Zealand accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills supported by solid Excel proficiency.
- Proven project management capabilities.
- Ability to function independently as well as part of a team.
- Developed research and problem-solving skills.

Compensation and Work Hours
This permanent position offers a competitive annual salary between $85,000 and $94,000 NZD based on experience, along with healthcare insurance subsidization and mobile phone benefits. The standard workweek is 37.5 hours with flexible working options.
