About the Role
Join Panda Express as an Assistant Manager and play a vital role in leading store operations. This position involves guiding a single store's team, overseeing hiring, managing associate performance, and driving financial and guest service goals. Panda Express prioritizes the growth and success of its associates, offering paid leadership training and ongoing mentorship within a supportive community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day store operations.
- Recruit, manage, and direct associates to meet business objectives.
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences and overall store success.
- Participate in a comprehensive 3+ week leadership training program to prepare for success.
Qualification and Skills Required
- High school diploma is mandatory.
- Flexible availability, including opening, closing, weekends, holidays, and evenings, adjusted to business demands.
- Serve Safe certification for food safety compliance.
- Willingness to relocate within a 50-mile radius of the current residence as needed.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Work in a fast-paced, often hot and noisy kitchen environment with limited space. Tasks require standing for extended periods, precise and quick food preparation using kitchen equipment such as Chinese cook knives. Employees must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing up to four hours, and reaching across counters.
