Assistant Maintenance Technician (Floater)

Job Overview

We are looking for a capable Maintenance Technician to become a key member of our team responsible for preserving the property's aesthetics, operational functionality, and general condition. This role ensures residents enjoy a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Carry out routine upkeep and repairs across apartment units, communal spaces, and building infrastructure.
• Address work orders swiftly, performing tasks related to plumbing, electrical systems, heating/cooling (HVAC), carpentry, and appliance servicing.
• Implement preventative maintenance measures to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment durability.
• Support unit turnover processes, including painting, repairs, and cleaning to ready apartments for new occupants.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and property regulations.
• Keep tools, equipment, and supplies well organized and maintained.
• Be available to respond to after-hours emergency maintenance requests when necessary.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance settings such as apartments, hotels or similar environments preferred.
• Fundamental understanding of plumbing, electrical work, HVAC systems, carpentry, and appliance repair.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve maintenance problems efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail with a dedication to resident satisfaction.
• Access to reliable transportation and readiness to be on call for emergency responses.
• EPA Certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
