Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Ginner for a full-time role at our Emerald site in Queensland, Australia. This role involves managing the efficient, safe, and effective operation of the gin site and may require travel to other LDC gin locations as necessary. Compensation will be competitive and aligned with the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expertise. Relocation support can also be discussed if needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the gin facility safely and effectively.
- Help maintain the upkeep and appearance of the gin site.
- Monitor and sustain the functionality of machinery and equipment to ensure uninterrupted production and maintain quality standards.
- Supervise employees on site.
- Support ginners and site management by ensuring completion of work permits for all high-risk activities.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Mechanical aptitude or background in a related trade.
- Ability to detect and control process weaknesses and apply best industry practices.
- Self-motivated, capable of working autonomously with initiative and readiness to face challenges.
- Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on detail and accuracy.
- Capability and willingness to interact professionally at all organizational levels and with external partners.
Preferred but Not Required:
- Experience managing teams in a production or maintenance setting.
- Proficient computer skills.
