Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Director for the Training and Doctrine within the Operations and Training Branch of the Cyber Protection Group. This role involves assisting the Head of Operations and Training Branch in developing and managing training programs and doctrinal frameworks tailored to cybersecurity professionals within the group. The candidate must stay abreast of current trends and advancements in the cybersecurity sector outside the military context and apply effective training methodologies suitable for general practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive training roadmaps and syllabi aligned with doctrines and operational concepts focused on Threat Hunting, Penetration Testing, and Incident Response activities.
- Monitor and coordinate the training needs across the Cyber Protection Group.
- Formulate and update doctrines and operational concepts reflecting the latest cybersecurity sector advancements.
- Provide support to the Cyber Training Office at HQ DCCOM for additional secondary duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must hold a recognized degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- Possession of SANS 500 series certifications or equivalent credentials is advantageous.
- Minimum of five years relevant professional experience in cybersecurity or training-related roles.
- Strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication.
