Assistant Costing Manager

About the Role

We seek a CMA-certified finance expert experienced in product costing, cost evaluation, and managing accounts receivable and payable in an automotive component manufacturing setting.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare and assess product costing details, bills of materials (BOM), and both standard and actual cost calculations.
• Perform variance analysis to spot cost-saving possibilities and drive cost optimization initiatives.
• Oversee accounting functions related to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Manage reconciliation processes with customers and vendors, monitor ageing, and follow up on payments.
• Support monthly financial closing processes, management information systems (MIS), budgeting, and financial reporting tasks.
• Collaborate effectively with Production, Purchasing, Sales, and Finance departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accuracy in accounting records, enforce strict cost controls, and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.

Required Competencies

• Expertise in product costing and variance analysis
• Strong management skills in AR/AP accounting
• Experience with MIS reporting and reconciliation processes
• Knowledge of manufacturing accounting principles
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP
