About the Role
As an Assistant Chief Engineer at Hilton, you play a pivotal role not only in maintaining the physical infrastructure and building systems but also in enhancing guest experiences by exemplifying exceptional hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing engineering team, conducting performance reviews and fostering professional growth.
- Assist the Chief Engineer in managing daily maintenance tasks by prioritizing and verifying completion of work through property maintenance systems.
- Ensure safety and compliance by overseeing building maintenance, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems in line with local regulations.
- Monitor department KPIs such as equipment maintenance, audits, and team productivity to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with hotel leadership to manage safety protocols, evacuation processes, and duty management coverage.
- Supervise contractors, inspecting their work for quality and compliance standards.
- Support initiatives focused on energy conservation throughout the property to reduce utility expenses.
