Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct independent valuation and appraisal of approved gold ornaments assessing purity, weight, quality, and eligible net gold content using standard methods and equipment.
- Lead and manage the branch team to boost productivity, accountability, and ensure compliance, acting in the Branch Manager’s absence to maintain business continuity.
- Safeguard gold custody by ensuring pledged gold is properly packed, sealed, labeled, stored, transported, released, and reconciled adhering to company protocols.
- Drive branch business growth by supporting achievement of targets related to gold loan disbursements, portfolio expansion, renewals, and new customer acquisition.
- Oversee smooth daily branch operations in alignment with approved policies and procedures, monitor operational turnaround times, and maintain service quality standards.
- Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly, maintaining transparency, and resolving queries efficiently, while managing branch administration.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possess 4 to 6 years of experience in areas such as Gold Loans, Banking, NBFC, or Retail Lending.
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in gold valuation and appraisal is mandatory.
- Preferably have exposure to gold loan operations, custody, compliance, and customer service functions.
- Postgraduate degree or MBA in Finance, Banking, Marketing, or Business Administration is preferred; gold valuation/assaying certification is an added advantage. However, graduates meeting other criteria are also encouraged to apply.
