As an Asset Protection Representative at our Calgary Superstore location, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our business, employees, and customers. This frontline position in retail security requires vigilance, professionalism, and effective decision-making to maintain a safe shopping environment while minimizing theft and fraud in a busy grocery and pharmacy setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional presence in-store to actively prevent theft, fraud, and policy breaches.
• Confidently and lawfully detain offenders while complying with corporate and legal protocols.
• Lead thorough investigations internally and externally, compile and evaluate evidence, and collaborate with law enforcement as needed.
• Work closely with store management to analyze loss trends and develop loss prevention strategies.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, security guidelines, and applicable provincial regulations.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities within a fast-paced environment, maintaining flexibility in scheduling.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Possess a valid Provincial Security Guard License and a solid understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and relevant legislation.
• Familiarity with CCTV systems, surveillance technologies, and Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Exhibit confidence, approachability, and strong communication skills in professional interactions.
• Demonstrate high integrity, accountability, and proactive problem-solving capabilities.
• Previous experience in grocery, pharmacy, or other high-volume retail environments is advantageous.
